2007 Negoce Heathcote Shiraz

Opaque purple black colour with black purple hue. Refined nose with aromas of liquorice, confectionary and blackberry. The palate is medium bodied with a very firm tannin structure that gives the wine an austere mouthfeel. Restrained flavours of blackberry, confectionary, cedar and spice. Very dry tannins, quite chalky with moderate aftertaste of cedar, earth, spice and confectionary. A lean undernourished example of Heathcote Shiraz.
