Father and son team, Harry and Axel Friend have produced an excellent follow up to their 2006 Pinot, and a worthy companion wine to their extraordinary 2006 Reserve Chardonnay.

Semi transluscent crimson colour with crimson mauve hue. Superb lifted nose of black cherry, spice and ripe strawberries. Generous, mouthfilling palate with excellent power wave. Velvet tannins support flavours of ripe black cherries, anise, spice and strawberries, followed by hint of spice, truffle and liquorice on the back palate. There's a trace of stalkiness, but that remains subdued. Very long aftertaste of black cherry and spice.
