2007 Mr Riggs Piebald Shiraz Viognier

The fruit for this wine is sourced from primarily the Piebald Gully vineyard, (owned by Mr. Riggs himself) with the balance coming from other high quality vineyards located throughout McLaren Vale. Both varieties were co-fermented to provide better integration.

Very deep black crimson colour with black crimson hue. Perfumed nose of dried apricot, vanilla, spice, black pepper and plum. The palate delivers what the nose promises – classic Ben Riggs style. Mouthfilling flavours of dried apricots, plum, vanilla and confectionary are well integrated. Fine grained, slightly chalky tannins. Aftertaste of plum, spice and dried apricots.
