This wine is made entirely from fruit grown on the Mitchell’s own Watervale vineyard planted in 1960. It’s dry grown and normally yields around 2 tonnes per acre resulting in wines of great concentration and depth. The 2007 vintage was one of the warmest and driest years the Mitchell’s have experienced resulting in a very early, low yielding vintage. The growing season was consistently warm rather than hot with few extremely hot days so flavours developed well and acid levels were maintained.

Brilliant straw colour with pale straw hue. Superb Riesling nose, with top note of lime, mandarin and rose petal, followed by end notes of citrus and tropical fruit. The palate displays impressive weight with generous flavour profile. Flavours of lime, tropical fruit and mandarin fill the palate. Clean acid finish. Long aftertaste of lime, mandarin and spice.
