2007 La Spinetta Il Nero di Casanova Toscana Sangiovese

Deep dark red mauve colour with brick red mauve hue. The nose displays aromas of dark cherries, spice and earth with a leather overlay. Medium bodied the palate displays flavours of spicy dark cherries followed by some earthy cedar, cigar box and leather characters. Fine grained tannins with a dry finish. Aftertaste of earth, spice and leather. A slightly rustic style of Sangiovese.
Drink over the next 2-3 years (2010-2013).
