2007 Jim Barry Lodge Hill Shiraz

Jim Barry was a pioneer of the Clare Valley wine industry and the first qualified winemaker to work there (1953). He's often quoted as saying, "Sometimes it takes longer than a lifetime to do a lifetime's work. Now it's up to my children."

Very deep crimson colour with crimson mauve hue. Delightful nose – Perfumed vanilla and violet top note followed by confectionary, blackberry and liquorice all sorts. The palate delivers flavours of dark chocolate, spice and cedar showing very good length. Fine grained tannins. Aftertaste of spice, chocolate and confectionary.
