2007 Hanging Rock Rich Reef Shiraz

Opaque black crimson colour with deep black crimson hue. The nose displays lifted aniseed top notes followed by some liquorice allsorts, confectionary and spice. Full bodied but without a great deal of complexity or length the palate displays flavours of liquorice, vanilla and spice with a dry finish. Some heat makes an appearance on the finish. Dry, slightly chalky tannins with a moderate aftertaste of spice and aniseed.
Cellar 1-2 years (2011-2012).
