2007 Grant Burge Miamba Shiraz

This wine was barrel fermented using 50% new American oak, with the remainder matured for 18 months in one and two year old American and French hogsheads. A small percentage of Hungarian oak was used to add complexity.

Deep crimson mauve colour with deep mauve hue. Aromas of liquorice allsorts, confectionary, mocha and spice. Generous palate flavours of plum, confectionary, liquorice allsorts and spice with a touch of mocha on the back palate. Fine grained tannins. Long aftertaste of ripe plum, dark chocolate, confectionary and spice.
