Eden Springs Vineyards are located in the rugged hillsides of High Eden, a sub-region of the Eden Valley-Barossa wine region. Named for its elevated position more than 500 metres above sea level, High Eden is one of only a handful of vineyards covering less than 40 square kilometres in one of the smallest gazetted wine regions of Australia. Yields are typically low due to the harsh, high altitude climate and relatively poor soils. This combined with the long cool ripening season results in highly concentrated fruit of exceptional quality. Although grape growing began on the property in 1972, it was not until in 2000 that wines bearing the Eden Springs label were released commercially.

An outstanding result.

This Shiraz has been matured for 20 months in American oak. Opaque black dark red colour with dark red hue. Aromas of dark plum, liquorice allsorts, vanilla and mocha displaying good intensity. Full bodied palate displaying concentrated voluptuous flavours of black plum, liquorice and dark chocolate with some spice on the back palate. Velvet smooth tannins with long aftertaste of dark plum, liquorice allsorts and spice.
