The appellation of Côtes-du-Ventoux sits on the East bank of the Rhône river at the foot of the Ventoux mountain range. The appellation extends for 18,000 acres and mirrors the climatic conditions and grape varieties of its neighbour, the Côtes-du-Rhone.

A blend of 80% Grenache and 20% Syrah. Deeper colour than the Delas Freres Cotes du Rhone, displaying near opaque deep crimson purple colour with crimson mauve hue. Lifted aromas of black cherry, plum and spice. The palate displays slightly more weight and richness than the Cotes du Rhone and the tannin structure is a little drier. Flavours of black cherry, plum and truffle, followed by some spice and earthy mineral characters on the back palate. Fine grained, slightly firm dryish tannin structure, but in balance. Long aftertaste of dark plum, raspberry and spice with a touch of earth.
Cellar 2-3 years (2011-2012)
