2007 was a challenging season in Marlborough with a cooler than average summer (it was the coldest December experienced in 50 years) redeemed by an Indian Summer in Autumn which provided ideal ripening conditions producing concentrated fruit of exceptional quality. The wine was produced from a variety of Pinot Noir clones - 25% Clone 5 (Pommard), 20% Clone 10/5, 20% Clone 667 and the remainder a mix of Dijon clones. Maturation was for approximately 12 months in French oak of which approximately 50% was new.

An outstanding example of Pinot.

Medium body crimson colour with crimson mauve hue. The nose is perfumed showing strong varietal character of dark cherry, violets, spice and anise. Mouthfilling palate flavours with excellent power wave. Flavours of cherry, spice and anise which run through to the aftertaste.
Cellar 3-4 years (2012-2013)
