Excellent colour – opaque crimson purple colour with crimson mauve hue. The nose is quite restrained and closed at present with aromas of spice, plum and confectionary emerging followed by some liquorice allsorts background notes. The palate explodes with ripe raspberry, black cherry and confectionary flavours followed by some liquorice allsorts and spice. The tannins are on the firm side but in balance providing good structure. Superb concentration and depth with very long ripe raspberry, spice and liquorice allsorts aftertaste. The tannins are a little firm at this point in the wine's life but it has the depth of fruit and structure to possibly evolve into a great Grenache.
Cellar 4-5 years (2013-2014)
Alc 14.5%

Other Reviews….
The 2007 Grenache Kangarilla has excellent floral notes in its perfume and plenty of density on the palate but this structured effort will also require several years of cellaring.
