2007 Clarendon Hills Bakers Gully Syrah

Opaque black purple colour with black purple hue – excellent colour saturation. Aromas of ripe plum, blackberry and confectionary with some toasty cedar notes also emerging in the background. Excellent intensity and varietal character. Full bodied with opulent ripe blackberry, dark plum, liquorice, confectionary and spice flavours. The wines possesses a much more open and fleshier texture than the Moritz. Super fine tannin structure with long aftertaste of blackpepper, spice and confectionary.

The 2007 Syrah Bakers Gully was aged in 60% new French oak. Deep purple-colored, it displays aromas of smoked meat, game, incense, and blueberry. Flavorful and easy-going on the palate, this is a Syrah for enjoying over the next 8-10 years.
