2007 Chateau Mont-Redon Cotes Du Rhone

Excellent colour displaying an opaque dark crimson red black with deep dark crimson red hue. The nose is a little subdued at first but with some coaxing aromas of dark cherries, plum, spice and earthy dried herbs emerge. Medium bodied the palate displays flavours of dark raspberry, cherries and spice followed by some dried meat and pepper on the back palate. Dry finish with fine grained tannins. Aftertaste of spice, dark cherries and leather.
NB: Tasted from a bottle that had been opened earlier during the day.
Cellar 2-3 years (2012-2013).
