2007 Blue Poles Allouran

The Allouran is a blend of 66% Merlot and 34% Cabernet Franc. Opaque dark crimson red colour with dark crimson mauve hue. The nose is quite closed, slowly yielding aromas of blackcurrant, cedar and mulberry, with a touch of tobacco as an end note. The palate delivers excellent concentration and structure with flavours of ripe blackcurrant, spice and mulberry followed by some cedar back palate characters. Dry, firmish, but balanced tannin structure. Aftertaste of spicy blackcurrant and cedar.
Cellar 5-8 years (2015-2018).
