2007 Best's Great Western Sparkling Shiraz

This Sparkling Shiraz opens with an excellent creamy mauve mousse. Exceptionally fine bead with good persistence. The base wine is a deep dark red black colour. Aromas of plum, blackberry, liquorice and confectionary showing good intensity. The palate displays good weight with liquorice and blackberry flavours dominate followed by some plum and spice with a dry finish. Aftertaste of blackberry, liquorice, spice and a touch of leather. Slightly drier and not quite as generous as the 2006 vintage.
Drink over the next 4-5 years (2010-2015)
