Six different clones of Pinot Noir were used to produce this wine with harvest taking place between March 7th and 17th with baumés ranging from 12.3 to 14.3 degrees. Yields were around the 1.7 tonnes per acre with the wine being matured in French oak for a period of 10 months. Semi translucent crimson mauve colour with crimson mauve hue. The nose displays aromas of dark cherry and anise followed by a hint of game. Spicy palate flavours of dark cherry, confectionary and anise. Moderate power wave. Fine grained tannins with aftertaste of dark cherry and spice.
