2007 Antinori Peppoli Chianti Classico

An excellent Chianti Classico produced from 90% Sangiovese with the balance being made up of Merlot & Syrah. Near opaque dark crimson red colour with deep crimson hue. The nose displays perfumed aromas of dark cherries, violets, spice and cedar with a hint of leather as an end note – an excellent sniff. Medium bodied the palate displays flavours of dark cherries, spice and cedar with an earthy leather like overlay. Dry finish with a meaty leather like texture. Fine grained slightly dusty tannins with long aftertaste of dark cherries, spice, cedar and leather.
Cellar 2-3 years (2012-2013).
