2006 Winchelsea Estate Warri Chardonnay

Bright straw colour with pale straw hue. Top note of yeast lees, hazelnut and cashew, showing classic barrel ferment characteristics with a melon end note. The palate has excellent length and depth overlaid by a creamy texture. Flavours of hazelnut, nougat and spice emerge. Clean acid finish. Very long aftertaste of nougat, spice and hazelnut. The spiciness is very persistent.
