2006 Vina Casablanca El Bosque Winemaker's Choice Carmanere

A very ripe and generous example of Carmenere.
Aged in French oak for 12 months. Opaque black dark red colour with deep dark red hue. The nose displays lifted dark chocolate notes followed by ripe blackcurrant, cedar and a touch of new leather. Full bodied the palate delivers rich fully ripened flavours of dark chocolate, liquorice and cedar with some spicy tobacco and leather characters on the back palate. Slightly firmish, dry tannins. Aftertaste of dark chocolate, cedar and spicy tobacco.
Drink over the next 2-3 years (2010-2013)
