2006 Victory Point Cabernet Sauvignon Cabernet Franc Petit Verdot Malbec Merlot

Displaying an opaque deep dark red colour with dark brick red hue this wine was aged in French oak of which 30% was new for 18 months. Perfumed aromas of ripe blackcurrant and cassis followed by some ripe mulberry and spicy cedar overtones. Medium weight the palate delivers flavours of ripe blackcurrant, dark mulberry and spice with a vanillin cedar overlay. Fine grained tannins with aftertaste of ripe blackcurrant, cedar and spice. A good effort from a difficult vintage.
Drink over the next 2-3 years (2011-2014).
