Made from a blend of 92% Shiraz & 8% Viognier from a single vineyard planted with cuttings from one of the old Run Rig vineyards. The Shiraz is crushed on top of the Viognier which has been lightly pressed for blending with the Run Rig. This blend of fruit is then co-fermented and later the wine matured for 18 months in 2 ½ year old French barrels that had been previously used for Run Rig.

A big, bold, generous example of Shiraz and Viognier.

Perfumed nose with superb lift. Aroma of dried ripe apricots, blackberry, vanilla and spice with violet end note showing strong perfumed lift. Explosive palate, excellent weight and mouthfeel, with flavours of white and black pepper over a background of dried apricots, blackberry and dark chocolate. Excellent length and depth. Perfect balance. Long aftertaste of liquorice allsorts, plum, black pepper, vanilla and spice.
Cellar 4-5 years (2012-2013)
Alc/Vol: 14%
