2006 The Standish Wine Co. The Relic

Totally opaque black dark crimson red colour with very deep dark red hue. The nose is very perfumed with exotic scents of dark plum, dark chocolate bullets, vanilla, mocha and spice emerging from the glass showing excellent intensity. Very rich and voluptuously textured, the palate is reflective of the nose with mouthfilling flavours of dark plum, dark chocolate, ripe blackberry and vanillin spice. Velvet smooth tannins. Outstanding length with long opulent aftertaste of dark plum, dark chocolate, liquorice and spice.
Drink over the next 4-5 years (2011-2016).
