2006 Te Mata Estate Woodthorpe Merlot Cabernet

Bright crimson colour with crimson mauve hue. Medium body. Lifted nose of confectionary, spice and blackcurrant, showing good varietal character. Top note of mulberry, followed by light liquorice and blackcurrant. The palate is quite dry, with mulberry and blackcurrant flavours evident. Fine dry tannins, excellent balance. A classic French inspired dry red.
