2006 Tar And Roses Shiraz

Very deep almost opaque black crimson purple colour with purple hue. Lifted nose. Top note of blackberry, spice and liquorice, delivering a perfumed sniff with violet end notes, showing good cling to the glass. On the palate flavours of blackberry and plum are followed by confectionary and liquorice allsorts. Fine grained tannins, excellent balance. Aftertaste of liquorice and very persistent black pepper.
