2006 Suckfizzle Sauvignon Blanc Semillon

This Bordeaux inspired dry white is a blend of 75% Sauvignon Blanc and 25% Semillon. The fee run juice is lightly settled then transferred to barrel for fermentation in 100% new French oak barriques. At the end of the alcoholic fermentation, the percentage of new oak is reduced to 50% for the barrel maturation phase.

Bright straw colour still retaining a slight greenish tinge around the edges and watery hue. The nose displays lifted top notes of herbaceous grassy gooseberry, pencil shavings and citrus followed by a hint of asparagus and spice. The palate displays mouthfilling grassy herbaceous flavours followed by pencil shavings, gooseberry and citrus. Very dry clean crisp finish with long aftertaste of herbaceous grassy gooseberry, citrus and pencil shavings.
Drink over the next 2-3 years (2010-2013).
