First Tasted 1st June 2009:
Very deep, almost opaque black crimson colour with black crimson hue. Impressive lifted nose with aromas of spice, blackberry and plum followed by a fresh liquorice allsorts end note. Mouthfilling palate with flavours of vanilla, plum and liquorice followed by a black pepper layer. Excellent length and depth. Aftertaste of spice, plum and liquorice with black pepper persisting.

A well made spicy cool climate Shiraz.

Retasted 17th February 2010:
Opaque dark red black colour with dark crimson red hue. The nose displays aromas of confectionary, liquorice and plum showing good intensity. Medium to full bodied palate with generous flavours of ripe plum, blackpepper, spice and liquorice allsorts displaying good length. Fine grained tannins with long aftertaste of blackpepper, spice and liquorice.
Drink now or cellar a further 2-3 years (2010-2013)

Retasted 13th January 2011:
Opaque black crimson colour with very deep dark crimson red hue. The nose displays perfumed aromas of blackberry, dark plum and liquorice, followed by a touch of leather. Medium to full bodied the palate possesses flavours of dark plum, liquorice and black pepper with an elegant, spicy finish. Fine grained slightly dryish but balanced tannins with an aftertaste of blackberry, liquorice and spice.
Drink over the next 2-3 years (2011-2014).
