2006 St. Johns Road A Motley Bunch Grenache Shiraz Mourvedre

An outstanding Rhone blend, produced from vines planted in 1969. Bright medium body crimson colour with crimson mauve hue. Superb lifted nose of raspberry, fresh spice, dark cherry, blackberry and violets. Mouthfilling palate. The Grenache component dominates with the Shiraz delivering long black pepper and spice flavours over an earth layer. Very long aftertaste.
