2006 Reilly's Dry Land Cabernet Sauvignon

An excellent encore performance to the superb 2005 release, this wine has been matured for 22 months French oak and finally comes with a long awaited packaging revamp.

Totally opaque black dark red colour with very deep dark red hue. The nose is quite perfumed with top notes of ripe blackcurrant, dark plum and dark chocolate with a mint overlay and a touch of spice as an end note. Typical of the Reilly’s style the palate is rich, full and packed with opulent layers of fruit. Ripe blackcurrant, dark chocolate, cedar and spice flavours abound. Slightly dry and firmish tannins but in balance and providing good structure. Excellent depth with long blackcurrant, chocolate mint, cedar and spice aftertaste.
Drink over the next 4-5 years (2011-2016)
