2006 Red Edge Heathcote Shiraz

A classic Heathcote Shiraz. Opaque black crimson purple colour with purple mauve hue. Great colour, reflective of the top wines from the district. Top note of violets, blackberry and spice, followed by a hint of vanilla and liquorice. The palate is generous with strong blackberry and black pepper flavours over a spice and vanilla background. Fine grained tannins, perfect balance. Very long aftertaste of vanilla, blackberry, spice and black pepper.
