2006 Quarisa Johnny Q Shiraz

Winemaker John Quarisa has over 24 years experience and along the way has been awarded some of the industries highest accolades including both the Jimmy Watson and Stoddart Trophies. He honed his skills for producing full flavoured exceptional value wines at Cassella wines (the producers of hugely successful Yellow Tail wines) and has since moved on to create his own label.

A very impressive, inexpensive red. Very deep almost opaque black crimson colour with crimson purple hue. Top note of liquorice, followed by a hint of dark chocolate, spice and ripe plum. The palate has excellent weight and mouthfeel, delivering plenty of flavour for your dollar. Flavours of liquorice, dark chocolate, plum and spice over a background of black pepper. Fine grained tannins. Aftertaste of liquorice, spice and black pepper.
