2006 Peter Lehmann Eight Songs Shiraz

Matured in French oak for 18 months the Eight Songs aims to show an elegant and distinctly softer side to Barossa Shiraz. Outstanding opaque black crimson colour with black heart showing outstanding colour saturation followed by a deep dark crimson red black hue. The nose displays top notes of liquorice and confectionary followed by some blackberry, cedar and spice. Full bodied the palate displays generous flavours of blackberry, liquorice, dark plum and confectionary with a spicy back palate. Fine grained tannin structure. Long aftertaste of ripe blackberry, liquorice and blackpepper.
Cellar 4-5 years (2015-2016).
