Cellar: 4 - 5 Years (2012-2013)
ABV: 15%

A blend of 51% Shiraz and 49% Cabernet Sauvignon. The two varieties are fermented together, rather than kept separate for later blending. 'This is much more risky than tweaking the blend on the tasting bench which is more suited to bigger wine companies than Oliver’s Taranga' comments Corrina Rayment. ' I co-ferment because you get different characters fermenting Shiraz juice on Cabernet skins than you do if you make them separately. I think this results in a more integrated wine. It is a bit old skool tho!...But we are making a wine that is from a single vineyard- so we tend to put all the wine together for each of our products as that represents the place!'

Matured in 1/3 new American & French oak, 2/3 old American and French oak for 22 months. Opaque black crimson colour with black crimson hue, showing good cling to the glass. Perfumed lift of dark chocolate, followed by cedar, spice and vanilla. Mouthfilling palate, very joosy blackcurrant, blackberry and dark chocolate flavours followed by cedar, spice and black pepper. Excellent weight and balance. Velvet tannins, with very long aftertaste.
Cellar 4-5 years (2012-2013)
Alc/Vol: 15%
