2006 Mad Dog Shiraz

'Mad Dog' Matthew Munzberg is a fourth generation Barossa grape grower with access to low yielding, 100 year old vines. Since 1999, he's been reserving the best fruit to produce small quantities of Shiraz under the Mad Dog label, employing minimal handling and top notch French oak.

Opaque dark red black colour with dark crimson red hue. Aromas of liquorice allsorts, confectionary, aniseed, dark blackberry and plum. Dense, rich, opulent palate flavours of liquorice, blackberry and dark plum followed by some confectionary, spice and blackpepper back palate flavours. Super fine grained tannin structure with long aftertaste of liquorice, plum, mocha and blackpepper.
