The fruit for this wine was grown in the Greenock, Stockwell, Ebenezer and Bethany districts, from 60-75 year old low yielding vines.
Very deep black crimson colour with black crimson hue. Lifted nose of spice, plum, black cherry, vanilla and liquorice. The palate is quite tight – a bit of a surprise given the nose. Flavours of spice, plum, vanilla and liquorice allsorts. Fine grained tannins. Aftertaste of dark chocolate, vanilla, plum and liquorice.
