2006 Howlin' Gale Force 10 Reserve Shiraz

Deep crimson red purple colour with deep mauve hue. Aromas liquorice allsorts, plum, toast and confectionary. The palate comes as a disappointment especially in comparison to the last vintage of this wine tasted (2004). Medium weight, lacking richness, with diluted flavours of liquorice, confectionary and spice with a touch of plum. Fine grained very dry tannins with little aftertaste to speak of – some liquorice and confectionary flavours quickly disappearing.
