A Very Drinkable Red!

This wine is a tribute to one of Barossa’s early pioneers, Henry Evans who planted the first vineyard at Keyneton in 1853. Produced from a blend of 66% Shiraz, 19% Grenache, 8% Mourvèdre and 7% Viognier with maturation taking place in older French oak for 15 months. Very deep black crimson colour with deep crimson hue. Lifted nose showing perfumed lift of spice, raspberry and blackberry with dried apricot end note. Mouthfilling palate, flavours of liquorice and raspberry over an apricot background, with distinct black pepper back palate. Soft tannins. Long aftertaste of spice, liquorice and black pepper.
Cellar 2-3 years (2010-2011)
Alc/Vol: 15%
