2006 Henry's Drive Reserve Shiraz

The strongest Henry’s Drive Reserve Shiraz since the wineries hey day in the early part of the decade when Sarah & Sparky Marquis were in charge of the winemaking.

Opaque black dark crimson red colour with deep dark crimson red hue. The nose displays good lift with aromas of very ripe blackberry, aniseed and confectionary followed by some toasty oak end notes. The palate displays excellent concentration with generous flavours of aniseed, liquorice allsorts, dark chocolate and confectionary followed by some spice and blackpepper with the aniseed and blackpepper persisting on the back palate. Fine grained tannin structure with very long aniseed, liquorice and blackpepper aftertaste.
Cellar 3-4 years (2013-2014).
