First Tasted 13th August, 2007; Still very young and in need of bottle age, this is one of those wines that you buy cheap and enjoy is latent complexity a few years down the track. The wine is made by Ben Glaetzer, so as far as pedigree goes, it is a 5 star wine. Very deep black crimson purple colour with purple crimson hue. Lifted nose with top notes of liquorice, plum, violet and vanilla. The palate flavours are generous, but not fully integrated. Flavours of liquorice allsorts, dark chocolate, plum and spice. Fine grained tannins. Aftertaste of spice and black pepper.
