2006 Heartland Cabernet Sauvignon

Another impressive red from winemaking maestro Ben Glaetzer. Produced from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon sourced predominately from Langhorne Creek with 6% of the blend coming from Limestone Coast. The wine was matured in a combination of French and American oak for 12 months.

Very deep near opaque black crimson colour with black crimson hue. Perfumed top note of blackcurrant, cedar, violets and cassis. The palate structure is relatively tight and remains youthful. Flavours of dark chocolate, blackcurrant and cassis are supported by fine dry tannins which persist through to the aftertaste.
