Rob Gibson’s talent as a viticulturalist is clearly evidenced in the quality of his wines. Famous for his bushy moustache and his experience as a Penfold's Grange viticulturalist, Gibson has developed a simple philosophy:

'Flavour is maximised through management of soil and the extraction of water from it by the grapevine. The expression of the variety and site potential is best achieved by separating the vineyard into 20-30 lots. These are made separately from particular harvest dates and sections of the vineyards'.

The 2006 Reserve Shiraz is a red of exceptional quality delivering  power and complexity along with a seamless flavour profile.

Tasting Notes:
This wine was matured for 24 months in 90% French and 10% American oak barrels with 40% being new oak. Opaque, black, brick red colour, with black brick red hue. Superb nose of cedar, vanilla, chocolate, spice and confectionary. The palate follows the nose with complex layers of flavours which explode in the mouth. Layers of ripe plum, confectionary, cedar and vanilla are enhanced with black and white pepper over a velvet smooth tannin background. Exceptional length and aftertaste of black and white pepper, plum and vanilla. Another outstanding red from 'Gibbo'.
Cellar 3-4 years (2012-2013)
