Other Reviews....

Handsome, savoury and seamlessly structured, with a smoky fragrance of melon, peach and grapefruit, with undertones of sherbet, minerals, matchstick and wheatmeal. There's also a floral, lanolin-like waxiness that adds to its complexity. Medium to full in weight, with sumptuous, concentrated fruit, it marries a richness and fattiness of texture with an elegance and fineness. It finishes long and persistent, with bright crystalline acids and lingering notes of hazelnuts, smoked hams and nougat.
Drink 2014-2018.

The 2006 Estate Vineyard Chardonnay was barrel-fermented and aged on its lees in 40% new French oak for 18 months. Light gold-colored, it exhibits a superb bouquet of mineral, toast, butter, hazelnuts, pear, and a hint of tropical fruits. Creamy textured, it has layers of flavor, excellent integration of oak and acidity, and a fruit-filled finish. It should blossom for several more years and drink well for a decade.
