The oldest cool climate vineyard in Western Australia, established by the Pearse family in 1965 after an exhaustive search for suitable cool climate sites by W.A.'s Department of Agriculture and Dr John Gladstone. This complex Mount Barker Chardonnay was matured for 8 months in 100% French oak of which 50% was new.

Bright pale gold straw colour with slight greenish tinge and pale straw hue. The nose displays strong barrel ferment characteristics with aromas of light butterscotch, biscuit, cashew and hazelnut with some toast end notes. The palate delivers excellent weight and concentration along with a creamy texture. Mouthfilling flavours of cashew, biscuit, nougat and butterscotch with a spicy overlay. Dry finish. Long aftertaste of biscuit, toast, nougat, roast almond and spice. Very Limited Stocks.
Drink over the next 2-3 years (2010-2013)
