2006 Flying Fish Cove Cabernet Merlot

Flying Fish Cove winery is situated 25 km north of Margaret River, in the Willyabrup area. Twenty hectares of vines were planted in 1997. In 2000, a group of 20 grape growers got together and built the Flying Fish Winery in time for the 2001 vintage. Today, some 290 tonnes of fruit is processed.

Very deep crimson colour with deep crimson mauve hue. The nose displays classic cedar, cigar box, blackcurrant and spice aroma with a violet end note. On the palate, flavours of blackcurrant and aniseed followed by cedar and some toasted oak. Fine grained dryish, chalky tannins. Aftertaste of cedar, cigar box, toasted oak and aniseed.
