2006 Domaine Bouchard Pere et Fils Le Corton Grand Cru

Semi translucent, crimson red colour with brick red tinged, mauve hue. The nose displays good intensity with perfumed aromas of violets and dark cherries, followed by some meaty game notes and a touch of spice. Light in weight but possessing plenty of richness and an excellent power wave, the palate delivers mouthfilling flavours of ripe dark cherry and strawberry followed by some meaty characters, cedar and a spicy back palate. Velvet smooth, soft tannins with very long persistent aftertaste of dark cherries, cedar, dried meat and spice.
