2006 Coldstream Hills Reserve Shiraz

This excellent example of Yarra Valley Shiraz spent 15 months maturing in new and used French oak. Opaque black crimson red colour with black crimson red hue. The nose is quite perfumed with aromas of liquorice allsorts, confectionary, blackberry and plum displaying superb intensity. Medium weight displaying good concentration with flavours of liquorice, confectionary, plum and blackberry with some spice and a touch of pepper on the back palate. Fine grained velvet tannin structure with long aftertaste of confectionary, liquorice and blackberry.
