2006 Chateau Senailhac Excellence de Senailhac Bordeaux Superieur

A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot that has been matured for 12 months in barrel. Opaque black dark red colour with dark red hue. The nose is quite perfumed with aromas of ripe blackcurrant intermingling with some dark chocolate over a background of dark mulberry, cedar and spice. Soft and elegant but with a dry chewy finish the palate has flavours of blackcurrant along with some dark mulberry, cedary cigar box and spice. Dryish, slightly chalky tannins with aftertaste of blackcurrant, cedar, earth and spice.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.
