2006 Chalk Hill Shiraz

Chalk Hill is a family owned wine company that has been growing grapes and making wine in the McLaren Vale wine district since 1964. Brothers Jock and Tom Harvey are the third generation of the family to manage the Estate owned vineyards that were first planted in the 1890's.

Very deep almost opaque black crimson colour with black crimson hue. Perfumed nose of liquorice, vanilla, spice and blackberry. The palate has good weight and mouthfeel, very spicy with flavours of liquorice, plum and blackberry, supported by fine grained tannins.
