2006 Cahillton Deja Vu Cabernet Merlot

The fruit for this wine is sourced from Heathcote and Yarra Valley, the Heathcote component accounting for the wines plump ripeness. Opaque black dark red colour with deep dark crimson red hue. The nose displays lifted aromas of very ripe blackcurrant and dark plum with a new leather overtone and hint of spice. Full and rich the palate possesses fully ripened fruit characters of blackcurrant, plum, mulberry and spicy cedar. Very fine grained well integrated tannins. Good length with aftertaste of ripe blackcurrant and spicy cedar.
Drink over the next 2-3 years (2011-2014).
