Bowen Estate is owned and run by Doug Bowen and his family. The Estate consists of 33 hectares of vines planted on the prized Coonawarra Terra Rossa soils. Established in 1972, the first vintage in 1975 was greeted with considerable enthusiasm.

At their best these are formidable examples of Coonawarra Cabernet.

Very deep almost opaque black crimson colour with black crimson hue. Delightful perfumed nose of violets followed by blackcurrant, spice and cedar – classic Cabernet. This is a top example from Bowen, with no green characteristics emerging. The palate reveals flavours of blackcurrant, spice and plum over a white pepper back palate. Some cedar flavour characteristics emerge. Excellent length and depth. Long aftertaste of spice, anise and blackcurrant.
Cellar 4-5 years (2012-2013)
Alc/Vol: 14.5%
